A new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has deployed to the Internet, giving us a look at gameplay footage, an impressive list of talent, and the mysterious anarchist villain known as Raul Menedez. Simply put, he’s a threat to the world.
Here’s the brief video synopsis from the official YouTube page:
Raul Menendez is idolized as the Messiah of the 99%, yet underneath the surface lurks an insidious mastermind hell bent on global insurrection.
That reference to the “99 percent” of America means that the writing staff (headed by Dark Knight Rises co-scribe David S. Goyer), may be taking the story into the future, but the narrative very much echoes the current state of the economy. Black Ops 2‘s story is also getting an infusion of musical depth, provided by famous former Nine-Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor (The Social Network, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) and Mass Effect composer Jack Wall.
Take a look at the video below to get a close-up look at the game’s main villain, along with the explosive combat that you’ll get to enjoy this coming November. Who’s excited?
