A new trailer for developer Compulsion Games’ puzzle-platformer Contrast highlights “House on Fire,” one of the tracks from the game’s original soundtrack.
Contrast revolves around a young girl, Didi, and her imaginary friend friend, Dawn, who has the ability to shift between 2D and 3D by way of lighting. Depending on light and shadow, Dawn becomes a shadow, wherein the game becomes a 2D platformer.
The track featured in the trailer (embedded below), “House on Fire,” is performed by jazz singer Laura Ellis, with lyrics written by the developer Compulsion Games and music composed by WaveGeneration Audio. The composition is an original, written solely for Contrast.
Contrast was first announced earlier this year, in May. It’s slated for release on PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC mid-November.
Compulsion Games has said that two versions will be available: a $15 standard edition and a $20 collector’s edition that comes with a digital art book and the soundtrack. Pre-orders for the Windows PC version are now available through Steam at a 25 percent discount, bringing the collector’s edition down to $14.99.
