A new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red’s first non-Witcher gamer, just hit the web.

The trailer is about as subtle as the game’s title, and is sure to provoke comparisons between it and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Not that I can really blame anyone for making such comparisons—the trailer does choose to associate cyberpunk with cybernetic violence instead of, you know, anything more creative, more representative of the cyberpunk genre. Like hacking. Or Artificial Intelligence. Or anything touched upon in Neuromancer beyond razor girls.

Cyberpunk 2077 is based on the Cyberpunk pen-and-paper game, and due for release sometime 2014/2015
