Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive has released a video featuring 12 minutes of gameplay from Dead Island developer Techland’s next zombie-filled foray, Dying Light.

The video (embedded below), demonstrates the game’s free-running mechanics, melee-based combat, and choice-driven emergent scenarios. For example, as featured in the video, the sound of a young girl screaming cueing players to choose between successfully completing their supply run or rescuing this girl.

The 12-minute trailer also shows off Dying Light’s day/night cycle, which directly alters the gameplay’s landscape. At night, the infected become considerably more aggressive and dangerous, and night-only variants emerge.

Dying Light is set to launch on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox One sometime 2014.
