During Monaco Anime Game International Conferences 2017, Square Enix shared new screenshots of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III.
The Kingdom Hearts III screenshot shows Sora taking on a new model of the Heartless in Thebes, according to director Tetsuya Nomura (via Gameblog.fr and Gematsu). The screenshot also shows Sora using his Keyblade as a shield, one of the several things that it can transform into in Kingdom Hearts III.
Nomura then went on to talk about Final Fantasy VII Remake, stating that he wanted to show a video, but the team decided against it. Instead, he showed two new screenshots of the game’s battle system.
The first screenshot shows Cloud taking on a soldier, while the second (above) shows Cloud and Barret taking on the Guard Scorpion, which will be the first boss in the game.
“I’ve put a lot of attention into the combat system, and it’s going to happen without interruption,” Nomura explained.
Release dates for Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III have not been announced.
