New Gameplay Video For Tribes: Ascend, Plus Announcement The Game Will Be Free To Play

It looks like another game has decided that there’s a lot of benefit to going the free to play route, as Tribes: Ascend, the upcoming MMO shooter from Hi-Rez Studios, has now been announced as being such a game.

For Tribes: Ascend, players will be able to buy “loadouts”, which determine what kind of role your character will play in battle. For example, loadouts will have different armor types, movement speeds, default weapons, available explosives, and so on.

Of course, players will have the option to make purchases that are more cosmetic than game-changing, such as visual alterations for their characters.
