THE BUZZ: Activision and High Moon Studios have released a new developer walkthrough showing off the leader of the Dinobots, Grimlock.

EGM’S TAKE: Matt “Tieg” Tieger, Game Director for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron at High Moon Studios definitely shows how much of a passion project this game has been for his team as you hear him talk about Grimlock.

We see Grimlock’s sword and shield in action against a series of Insecticons as he handles differently to all other Transformers, being a melee only character. The big pay off comes though when we see Grimlock transform into his T-Rex form and burn all the Insecticons in his path with his flamethrower.

I think what is most interesting about the Grimlock levels though is how it will break up the game play and provide some variety that may have been absent from War for Cybertron, giving fans a more robust Transformers experience.

Either way, this developer diary/walkthrough and the new screens featured below are just another taste of what we can expect from Transformers: Fall of Cybertron when it is released August 28, 2012, and I am sure is helping to whet the appetite of Transformers fans everywhere.

What do you folks think? Are you excited to play as Grimlock? Who is your favorite Transformer? What do you think of the difference in game play between Grimlock and the other Transformers? Let us know your thoughts with comments below!
