New Hawken Video Shows Nvidia’s PhysX Features In Action

Nvidia released a new trailer that shows the improvements their PhysX technology brings to free-to-play mech-based first-person shooter Hawken‘s visuals .

The video below highlights the differences in detail between Hawken with and without PhysX’s APEX Turbulence features turned on. Those differences are very, very noticeable. With PhysX, Hawken sports considerable more particle detail—effects are more realistic, more dynamic, and more reactive.

Honestly, this trailer has sealed the deal for me—I’m definitely going to start playing Hawken. The whole “free-to-play” stigma is passé—the game looks good, and it’s free. What more could anyone want?
