New Information On Metal Gear Solid HD Collection’s Re-Recorded Voices

THE BUZZ: Kojima Productions has revealed several new details regarding the re-recorded voice acting for the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.
The latest episode of the Kojima Productions Report podcast claims the developer has re-recorded only the minimum amount of dialogue required, mainly scenes that mention console-specific button layouts. The voices remain “very faithful to the original,” however a lot of dialogue in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker needed work.
The four major characters that have had the most voice work:
- Hal Emmerich (Otacon) – Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
- Kazuhira Miller – Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
- Para-Medic and Sigint – Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence
EGM’s TAKE: We understand the need for the developers to redo voice work, especially in Peace Walker for PSP. As long as the overall ambiance of the games remain unaffected then it can only bring an improvement.
