THE BUZZ: Some new Mass Effect 3 gameplay details have appeared online.
The details come curtousy of an article in the latest issue of Game Informer magazine, and include:
- Cover is more appropriate to the location: couches, overturned tables, etc.
- In Action mode, the game selects a mixture of Paragon and Renegade choices.
- There’s a sidebar about the various game modes. RPG is of course your standard ME experience. Story is RPG with really easy combat. Action automates the dialogue.
- The GI writer was playing as Femshep and the kid in the story was still male, so that tanks the theory that it’s a hallucinatory version of young Shep (though not the general “It’s a hallucination” theory).
EGM’s TAKE: It seems that this time round fans will have a choice of how they want to play Mass Effect, if they love story or action they can choose to concentrate on either. It’s an interesting concept, and one that promotes replayability.
