Hideo Kojima, father of the Metal Gear series, has revealed that footage from the Metal Gear Rising: Revengence E3 demo will be shown before the show.
Kojima recently shared a still from the demo’s title screen and was so wowed by the reaction from fans that he sought permission to get additional footage released before the show next month. He named the image Black/Dark Raiden, but quickly shut down any questions by stating: ”I can’t say much beyond this, but why he’s ‘Black/Dark Raiden’ is a secret.”
Being a massive fan of the Metal Gear series I’m incredibly worried about the direction that Revengence is going. Not having Snake as the main character is bad enough, but losing the stealth aspect loses the series’ identity. Many fans will not accept this as part of the Metal Gear series and it will most likely get shunned. However the game itself looks fun as a standalone title, hopefully the in-depth stories that made the series famous remain.
Should Revengence be part of the Metal Gear story?
