THE BUZZ: Microsoft has released several new screenshots for the XBLA version of Minecraft.

The screens feature multiple environments, creatures and even a look at four player split-screen. The game will be available to download from May 9.

EGM’s TAKE: One of the most popular PC games to date finally makes its way to Xbox 360 next week. If it keeps the same features as the PC version and receives regular updates, then it easily has the potential to be just as popular. The major problem will come with Microsoft’s certification process. This means that patches can take weeks to be pushed live to servers, which could hurt Minecraft badly, as this game is all about constant updates and new features. Mojang has previously said it is working with Microsoft in order to allow for direct updates, so hopefully they will come to some arrangement.

Will you be buying the game on Xbox 360? Let us know in the comments below.
