A new dev blog for MLB 14: The Show examines several of the new additions to Road to the Show.
In the video, designer Kirby St. John describes changes made to player creation and the influence of region, how scouting and drafting now works, and how advancement goals have been removed so that players can train their character however they choose.
Kirby also details a “significant overhaul” to playing as a catcher in RTTS, leaving them only responsible for calling a pitch when runners are ins coring position. Catchers must now catch or block each pitch on their own.

MLB 14: The Show launches on PS3 and Vita April 1, PlayStation 4 on May 6.
Sony also announced that a version of MLB 14: The Show bundled with NBA 2K14 would be available April 1 exclusively on PS3 as the PlayStation Sports Pack Vol. 1 for $89.99. The bundle includes $10 of in-game currency: 6000 STUBS in MLB 14 and 20,000 Virtual Currency for NBA 2K14.
