Overwatch

Overwatch‘s latest digital comic follows the clash between Tank hero Zarya and Offense hero Sombra shortly after the events of Sombra’s attack on Volskaya Industries.

In an animated short that accompanied the reveal of Sombra last year, we saw the hacker enact an infiltration of Volskaya Industries, a location better known as an Overwatch Assault map. The Overwatch comic “Searching,” created by Andrew Robinson, Joelle Sellner, and Kate Niemczyk, starts as Zarya is tasked with tracking down Sombra, a hunt that leads her all over the world.

After teaming up with an Omnic—despite her prejudices—Zarya arrives in another Overwatch map location, Dorado, where she finally confronts her target. In the final confrontation, fans will learn Sombra’s real name (which is apparently not Sombra) and that there is more behind Zarya’s organization than she might have known.

The previous Overwatch comic recounted the origin story of the friendship between Tank hero Roadhog and Defense hero Junkrat. The criminals’ comic also gave us an early look at the community of Junkertown, which became Overwatch‘s newest Escort map not long after.

In other Overwatch news, a new bug in the hero shooter could leave players unjustly banned, but Blizzard is working on a fix.
