Nintendo’s new trailer for Paper Mario: Sticker Star gives another look at just how literally the developers are taking the paper-and-sticker aspect. Oddly enough, it all sort of makes sense in context.
Did Bowser Jr. obstruct your path by balling up a paper bridge and tossing it on a plateau?
Just get a gang of the Toadstool minions to form a makeshift staircase. It can’t hurt them, after all—they’re paper.
Need a power-up to clear out random enemies?
Just peel a stray boot or Fire Flower off the wall, and presto, it’s an instant weapon. Notably, the engine is definitely going in a bigger 3D direction with the RPG combat, giving area effects and field position some added damage bonuses.
Observe the trailer below, although it won’t look nearly as good on a computer as it will on a 3DS XL screen.
