THE BUZZ: id is continuing to fix the PC version of Rage with the developer promising another patch being released soon to correct an issue with blurry textures.
“We have a bicubic-upsample+detail texture option for the next PC patch that will help alleviate the blurry textures in Rage,” id’s John Carmack promised on Twitter. No date was given for its release.
EGM’s TAKE: The PC version of Rage has survived a rocky time since launch with a number of patches introduced to correct problems. While id deserves credit for staying on top of the issue, it would obviously be nice to have titles ship in a final form without these types of flaws.
