Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time

THE BUZZ: The first Sly Cooper title developed specifically for the PlayStation 3, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is coming our way next year—and for now, we’ve got some new details and screenshots.

Now developed by Sanzaru Games (taking over for Sucker Punch, who were no doubt busy working on their inFamous games), Thieves in Time–as evident by that subtitle—will give players the chance to travel back through time. By doing so, not only will you be able to meet your “Cooper Clan” ancestors, but even get to play as them for certain segments of the story. These ancestors will have their own “unique and powerful abilities”, which will help add to the excitement and diversity of the game.

The first of these ancestors to be shown off is Rioichi Cooper, who was introduced back in Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. Rioichi is a master ninja, whose talents include the Leaping Dragon Technique—giving Rioichi the ability to jump between great distances.
