New SHAREfactory update goes live today, adds The Last of Us theme

Posted on July 29, 2014 AT 07:44am

Sony has announced that an update for the PlayStation 4′s SHAREfactory video editor is going live today (tomorrow in Europe), adding a new The Last of Us theme, the ability to import screenshots, and support for Photo Mode.

The new The Last of Remastered theme adds 39 new stickers, six new transitions, two new background images, plus new intro, outro, and title clips. Also, the update will enable the ability to import screenshots from the capture gallery into videos, a feature that has been highly requested by fans, according to Sony.

As well as this, starting today, players will be able to use photos captured in Photo Mode, which is available in inFamous: Second Son and The Last of Us Remastered, in SHAREfactory. Photo Mode allows players to manipulate the in-game camera in ways that wouldn’t normally be possible to take screenshots.

Finally, the update adds some new filter effects, stickers, and UI improvements.

Earlier today, Sony released system update 1.75 for PlayStation 4 that adds 3D Blu-ray support and more.
