In a new Splinter Cell: Blacklist video released by Ubisoft, community developer Zack Cooper outlines the basics of multiplayer mode Spies vs. Mercs.
For those of you new to Splinter Cell, Spies vs. Mercs was first introduced in Pandora Tomorrow and featured in subsequent sequels until Conviction. The multiplayer mode pits a pair of stealthy, agile spies playing in the third-person perspective against a pair of mercenaries playing in the first-person perspective. As spies, players must seek out and hack three computer terminals spread across the map while the mercenary players defend those terminals.
The video (embedded below) details and showcases the Classic version of Spies. vs. Mercs, which strips out all the new additions present in the alternate version, Spies vs. Mercs Blacklist.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist sneaks onto PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U August 20 in North America, August 23 in Europe.
