Naughty Dog has confirmed that the upcoming additional content for The Last of Us and The Last of Us Remastered will be multiplayer focused.
Earlier this week, Sony confirmed that Naughty Dog is working on ”additional add-on releases” for The Last of Us that will be cross-buy compatible with PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, but no details about what this content will be was offered. However, Naughty Dog community strategist Arne Meyer has told Digital Spy that it will not be additional single-player content.
“We just wanted to say when we released the Remastered version, that we weren’t going to stop supporting both the PS3 and PS4 versions,” Meyer said. “We do have some DLC planned, it’ll be multiplayer focused. We’re not ready to talk about the details yet, but throughout the rest of the year we’ll have some DLC drops.”
The Last of Us Remastered is set to launch July 29 in North America and August 1 in Europe exclusively for PlayStation 4.
