New Trailer for Persona 3 The Movie Escapes the Dark Hour

Posted on October 18, 2013 AT 01:57pm

A new two-minute-long trailer has been released showing off more of Spring of Birth, the first Persona 3 animated movie set to hit soon in Japan.

Yes, those lucky Shin Megami Tensei fans in the Land of the Rising Sun will get to see Persona 3 The Movie: Chapter 1, Spring of Birth in just over a month when the film hits theaters on November 23rd.

Persona 3 The Movie follows in the footsteps of other anime releases such as the reworking of Evangelion, where what might normally be better suites for a TV series (due to its length) is instead broken up into separate movie projects and released at regular intervals. As of now, however, there’s no exact information on how many films the Persona 3 story will span—or when exactly future chapters will be coming.

For us English speakers here in the West, also unknown as of this moment are potential plans for releasing Spring of Birth outside of Japan. Thankfully, giving the popularity of Persona on our shores, and the fact that we received the Persona 4 TV anime series, I’m sure the question will be one of “when” as opposed to “if”.

Here’s that latest trailer; while it’s in Japanese with no English subtitles, fans of Persona 3 will no doubt still get a lot out of seeing how the movie is shaping up.
