THE BUZZ: It wouldn’t be the launch of new Sony video game hardware without a new Ridge Racer title, and Namco Bandai is here to show off more of their Vita Ridge Racer project via this new video.

EGM’s TAKE: As a huge Ridge Racer fan, this is easily one of the first Vita titles I’ll be picking up. That said, my time with the game at Tokyo Game Show 2011 left me a little unsure about how the final product would end up turning out (go read my thoughts on the TGS demo here if you haven’t already).

Still, what I saw at TGS was just a five-minute demo of one track, and an experience that probably isn’t representative of the final game. So, I will of course save the passing of any judgement until I’ve gotten my hands on it.

The other problem, of course, is that this new Vita version of Ridge Racer has gigantic shoes to fill—I absolutely adored Ridge Racer 2 on the PSP, and now have high expectations.
