The Legend of Zelda

Why go through the hassle of searching for Korok seeds when you can simply farm them by exploiting a newfound glitch in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild?

A recent video posted to YouTube shows how to do just that in a few easy-to-learn steps. All you’ll need is the Master Trials DLC, a discovered yet unfinished Divine Beast, and the travel medallion.

First, enter the Trial of the Sword. From there, fast travel to the aforementioned Divine Beast. Fast-travel back out and find a Korok location. Discover the Korok seed, place a fast-travel marker with your travel medallion next to the Korok, and fast-travel back out. Next time you fast-travel back in, the Korok will be reset, meaning you can “discover” the same Korok over and over and get a seed each time.

Given the sheer amount of loading screens you’ll have to experience, this exploit seems more tedious than actually going out and finding the Koroks the old-fashioned way. Besides, this seems to miss the point of seeking out all 900 Koroks, which is that we are masochistic completionists who love to make ourselves suffer.

Cheating in games is meant to make the player’s life easier, so remember, kids: If you really want to break the game, you can always download a cheat code.
