Xbox 360 has received a new update that adds the ability to continue watching an Xbox Video rental on another platform and makes several backend changes.

You should be asked to download the update the next time you log in—if not, give it a few hours to reach you. According to Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, the update is “mostly backend stuff,” but one feature he did mention was the ability to start watching a video on Xbox 360 via Xbox Video and then continue watching it on another platform.

A new update for Xbox One is due later this month, which will bring back friend notifications, improve game saves and updates, and more.
