Microsoft has released a new version of Xbox One’s June update to preview program participants that fixes some issues with external hard drive support.

If you’re a member of the preview program and your Xbox One is in Instant-On mode, the update will automatically download and install. You can manually install the update once it is available in your region by going to Settings>System>System Update.

Beta version 1406 has the following patch notes:

  • Several fixes for issues some users have been reporting with new external storage features.
  • A fix for App Channels not populating in OneGuide.

Users should also be aware of these known issues:

  • A small number of models of A/V receivers may not power on automatically via IR commands from the console (such as when saying “Xbox, On’). The team is aware of this issue and investigating.
  • Some users may notice their Favorites list empty in OneGuide. The team is aware and investigating this issue.
