Last week, Xbox announced that original Xbox backward compatibility would have “a big update.” Now, fans think they’ve figured out the next batch of games that will be added to the console.
As fans on Reddit spotted, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind appeared on the Xbox Store, as did Destroy All Humans!, MX Unleashed, and Full Spectrum Warrior. Unlike the fairly regular additions to the Xbox Backward Compatibility Program, all of these games are original Xbox offerings.
The release date of all these games is set to today, April 10th, but the games are not yet available for purchase. It’s likely that they’ll officially go on sale once Microsoft makes its planned announcement on Inside Xbox.
Microsoft started adding original Xbox games to the Xbox One at E3 2017. Only a few have arrived since, however, with Xbox boss Phil Spencer claiming that the delay was due to older rights being “more complicated.” At the moment, current offerings include Psychonauts, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Prince of Persia.
