Mass Effect

While answer questions from Someguy on Twitter, BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn revealed the soonest we’ll get information on the next Mass Effect title is “sometime in 2014.”

Work on the next Mass Effect game was announced a little over a year ago, in November 2012. Details remain scant, but we do know that the game is being developed with the Frostbite 3 engine, much like Dragon Age: Inquisition, and that the studio doesn’t want the game referred to as “Mass Effect 4.” During PAX East, executive producer Casey Hudson stressed that the team wanted “to be able to give fans an opportunity to get back into the world with these things you’ve come to know and love about the Mass Effect experience, but start something fresh and new; a new way for you to explore the whole universe in Mass Effect.”

Based on what we know—or more accurately, all that we don’t know (in contrast to something like Dragon Age), it seems the soonest we’ll see the new Mass Effect released is 2015.
