Next Patch for The Last of Us Will Add New Multiplayer Mode ‘Interrogation’

Update: A post on the PlayStation Blog confirms and details the new multiplayer mode. They also included a trailer, which I’ve embedded at the bottom of this news story.

Original Story: The Last of Us will be getting an additional multiplayer mode alongside patch 1.03, Kotaku reports.

The new multiplayer mode is called “Interrogation,” and requires players to question five fallen enemies through special executions in order to learn the location of and subsequently raid the enemy team’s safe location.

In addition to a new, free multiplayer mode, patch 1.03 introduces several improvements to multiplayer in The Last of Us. Range for reviving teammates will be increased, item bin locations will be rebalanced, and the ability to interrupt special executions will be added. The update will also introduce improved matchmaking and fewer item spawns to prevent excessive item population.

Sony and Naughty Dog have yet to disclose when the patch will go live for The Last of Us.
