THE BUZZ: Namco Bandai has released a new trailer for Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, and also announced that the game has suffered a delay until 2013.
This is the second delay that the title has received, it was previously pushed back to a late 2012 release. However, Namco confirmed that the game will release simultaneously in both the U.S. and Europe in 2013.
Namco’s official description: ”Wrath of the White Witch, a heart-warming tale of a young boy named Oliver, who embarks on a journey into a parallel world in an attempt to bring his mother back from the dead. Along the way, Oliver makes new friends and adopts many of the wonderful creatures that inhabit the world, raising them to battle other creatures on his behalf as he takes on formidable enemies.”
EGM’s TAKE: The game looks beautiful, exactly what we would expect from Level-5. We’re not quite as sure about the story, it seems rather JRPG cliched to us. Fans looking forward to this one will be disappointed to hear of the delay, hopefully this will be the last one that it suffers. If you’re a JRPG fan then you should certainly be keeping an eye on this one.
