Nielsen Runs Down The Most Anticipated Console Games This Holiday Season
Posted on October 16, 2012 AT 11:54am
It’s that time again—entertainment-tracking company Nielsen has released their lists of the most anticipated console games for 2012′s holiday season.
The percentages given with games marks the overall anticipation level for that game. Here’s an explanation from Nielsen in terms of what that number means:
The overall anticipation level among gaming consumers was derived from leveraging several key consumer metrics (including Awareness, Purchase Interest and others) into one overall score. That score was then compared to scores from all previous games released on the same platform at the same point in their release cycles, to determine the percentile ranking of the upcoming title (aka the Nielsen Game Rank).
So, here are the lists—any surprises, either good or bad, for you?
