Square Enix has announced that worldwide shipment and digital sales of NieR: Automata have exceeded one million.

The game released first for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 23rd, before coming to North America on March 7th and Europe on March 10th. This was followed by a worldwide PC release on March 17th.

Automata is an action RPG that places players in the shoes of androids 2B, 9S and A2 as they fight to reclaim the world for their human creators.

“While Nier: Automata at times feels unpolished or under-developed, when taken as an entire experience, it’s a fantastic journey of a group of androids struggling to live up to their purpose in life,” Mollie wrote in our review, which you can read here.

NieR: Automata is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC.
