THE BUZZ: Tecmo Koei has released the first developer dairy for Ninja Gaiden 3, which sees Team Ninja discussing how killing enemies will have an emotional impact on the player.

EGM’s TAKE: Considering that Ninja Gaiden games are about dismembering enemies limb-by-limb in as many ways as is humanly possible, it’s very hard to imagine how you make the player feel any sort of remorse while doing it. Previous games have trained fans to be ruthless killing machines with no reaction to their actions, however Team Ninja hopes to change this with the game’s third installment. Trying to gauge an emotional response out of fans will be a difficult task, unless what they are aiming for is glee at the sight of a poor samurai’s arms and legs being detached with a satisfying sword swing.

Would you feel any emotion from killing an enemy? Let us know below.
