Ninja Gaiden 3 Requires Online Pass

By

THE BUZZ: Tecmo Koei has confirmed that Ninja Gaiden 3 will require an online pass.

A listing by rental service Gamefly first started the rumor that the game’s online multiplayer portion would require a code to access. Tecmo has since confirmed this.

EGM’s TAKE: Yet another game joins the online pass revolution, it appears that soon every single game that we buy will need one. It’s not a major inconvenience if you buy new, you just have to take two minutes to input a code. But for used purchasers it means paying an extra $5-$10 on top of your purchase in order to play online, which tends to put some people off. It’s hard to fault publishers for trying to get their fair share from the used game market though.

Do you agree with the online pass system? Leave your thoughts below.
