Ninja Gaiden

Keiji Yamagishi, the composer behind the Ninja Gaiden series, revealed that he’s “working on a new project related to Ninja Gaiden,” but later said that it’s “not a new game.”

The composer announced on Twitter that he is working on a Ninja Gaiden project, with more news coming in July.

In a followup tweet, Yamagishi said that the project “does not relate to a new video game,” meaning that he may be working on a concert series or, potentially, a rerelease of the old Ninja Gaiden games.

It’s worth noting that Yamagishi was involved with the NES’ Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom, not the 3D release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Whatever Yamagishi is working on, we’ll have to wait until July to hear more.
