Ninja Theory Confirms it is Not Working on Enslaved 2

Posted on September 22, 2011 AT 11:00am

THE BUZZ: Ninja Theory has confirmed it cancelled any plans it had to work on a sequel to Enslaved, and will instead concentrate on Devil May Cry.

Tameem Antoniades, Co-founder of Ninja Theory, admitted that the title underperformed at retail and is glad for a fresh chance with the Devil May Cry series. “Enslaved should have done better, right now we should have been doing a sequel and perfecting that sequel and doing what franchises do, which is get better over time,” he said speaking in the latest issue of Edge. “Because that didn’t happen we’ve not expanded to two teams like we intended to. So we’ve remained a smaller shop. But now we get another chance with DMC.”

EGM’s TAKE: Enslaved never got the sales that it deserved and we’re glad to see the studio getting another chance to show off its ability. Still, we hope they can revist its original series in the future.

Would you like to see an Enslaved sequel?
