Nintendo Announces Circle Pad Pro For 3DS XL, Still Looks Chunky
Posted on September 20, 2012 AT 11:45am
Amid all the Tokyo Game Show news, Nintendo’s pretty quiet about revealing the Circle Pad Pro for the 3DS XL. Although it’s redesigned from the original, it’s still pretty fat around the edges.
Nintendo, who doesn’t attend TGS, made the announcement from Japan earlier today, showing a comparison of both Circle Pad Pro versions for the 3DS and 3DS XL (or LL, as it’s titled there).
According to the accessories section of their official website, the secondary analog attachment has a grooved handle on the right side for added comfort, with a thinner frontside panel that doesn’t jut outward from the 3DS system quite as much.
There’s no pricing or release date for Circle Pad Pro XL, but it’s certain to release in North America and everywhere else at some point. If Nintendo’s smart, it won’t cost much more than the 3DS original’s 20-dollar tag.
