Nintendo Apologizes for Holiday eShop Issues

Posted on January 2, 2014 AT 05:42am

Nintendo suffered one or two issues over the festive period with its eShop and Nintendo Network ID system, which resulted in both the Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter apps being delayed.

“We sincerely apologize for the recent inconsistencies and thank you again for your patience and support. We will share more information about the launch of Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter as soon as possible,” the company wrote on its support site.

Players who tried to redeem a download code and received an error message saying that it had already been downloaded should head to the “Titles You’ve Downloaded” (Nintendo 3DS) / “Your Downloads” (Wii U) under “Settings/Other” in the menu of the Nintendo eShop. You should find the software there ready to be downloaded.

Both the Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter apps were scheduled to release December 27.
