Nintendo has announced that it will be carrying out extended maintenance on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U today. The maintenance period will run from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Pacific, according to Nintendo. The following services will be affected:
- Wii U - Online Play, Rankings etc.
- Nintendo 3DS - Online Play, Rankings etc.
Nintendo also announced that it will be streaming a Nintendo Direct broadcast tomorrow, October 1, at 7 a.m. PDT. The broadcast will be hosted by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata and Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata, and will provide updates on Wii U and 3DS games launching this year.
