In a groundbreaking partnership, Nintendo digital games and content downloads can now be purchased on Amazon.
Nintendo, which has historically been shy about its online services and partnerships with outside companies, is lowering its restrictions to allow users with the proper Nintendo Network authorization to purchase digital items through the retail giant.
DS, Wii U, and Wii games and DLC purchased through Amazon populate a code that can then be redeemed on the appropriate console. The process is very similar to Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation download codes that can already be bought and redeemed on Amazon.
The Nintendo store on Amazon is already live, so feel free to head over and see what’s on sale.
