Nintendo is already working on the next Legend of Zelda game, and if you’re a level designer, you might get a spot working on the team.
We’ve known that work on the next game in the series has been in development since at least December 2017, which isn’t surprising—work on Breath of the Wild began right after the release of Skyward Sword, so it’s no surprise for this future game’s development to begin straight after Breath of the Wild. While we still don’t have many details, one fan noticed that Nintendo is now hiring for specific positions on the game.
Twitter user BlackKite spotted a Japanese job listing from Nintendo, which asks for a level designer to work on events, dungeons, fields, and enemies on console games.
Nintendo is hiring a level designer for The Legend of Zelda series. Will create events/dungeons/fields/enemies from design to actual implementation. Should have game planner experience on console games & can communicate in Japanese.https://t.co/iV2gYUYpnS pic.twitter.com/9V1Z5JgOtG

The job does require applicants to communicate in Japanese, but if you’ve got the skillset, the job application is still currently up and available on the Japanese version of Nintendo’s website. The description notes that after an application has been sent, potential candidates must go through a screening process, a practical test, and a few interviews.
Another interesting tidbit is that the job posting seems to hint that the new game will also be on the Switch, indicating that we don’t have to wait another whole console generation to get our next Zelda fix.
At the moment, we don’t know much else about the new Zelda game, but we’ll be sure to report any more updates.
