Nintendo Switch

Nintendo is launching a Nintendo Labo creator’s contest, and the grand prize is a crazy cardboard-themed Nintendo Switch.

The contest has two categories, Best Toy-Con Musical Instrument and Best Gaming Experience using Toy-Con Garage. The first, obviously, asks players to build an original musical instrument out of Toy-Con Garage and craft materials, while the second is more open-ended and seeking innovative gameplay ideas in general.

The important part of all of this, though, is the unique Nintendo Switch the winners of each category will receive as part of the grand prize. The cardboard-themed Nintendo Switch consoles look, well, almost exactly like cardboard, right down to the texture and the little folded-cardboard detail on the back of the dock.

While only the grand prize winners will receive the whole Switch, four runners-up in each category will get matching cardboard Joy-Con controllers. Winners also get a shirt, but let’s be real here – everyone wants the cardboard Switch.

The full details of the contest can be found on the Nintendo Labo page of Nintendo’s website.
