At this point, any news about Nintendo planning announcements warrants notice, as the company still hasn’t confirmed any launch information for the Wii U, despite being less than three months away from Black Friday. Argh!
According to Japanese retailer Sinobi, retailers in Japan are meeting with Nintendo next week to discuss things.
Google’s horrible translation of Sinobi’s Twitter post doesn’t yield much more info, though:
But tomorrow’s “Nintendo Direct”, this week’s Nintendo because some business meetings (not a new thing, and will start accepting orders for the determination of title). Something big bullet. Do not you think it would have come. “Forest” is come, I want about it just over 1 hour (laughs)
As Andriasang notes, meetings like this are usually held to cover information for a console release, so there’s that.
Nintendo will be hosting a few separate events and presentations next month about the Wii U specifically, so don’t expect this meeting to have any huge news. Maybe we’ll learn about Wii U bundles or other announced launch titles.
