In putting together plans for their new console, Nintendo has its eyes on at least one third-party development house: Kojima Productions.

Speaking to Eurogamer, Kojima Productions creative producer Yoshikazu Matsuhana has stated that Nintendo approached the group about working on a title for the Wii U.

“Obviously we did have talks with Nintendo early on they approached us with the Wii U,” Matsuhana explained to Eurogamer.

What game exactly would Kojima Productions be looking at making? A Wii U version of, say, a Metal Gear Solid title? Unfortunately, Matsuhana wouldn’t say anything specific. He said that any plans are currently top secret, but that they’re also thinking about the possibilities the Wii U will offer, and looking at what their fans would like Kojima Productions to bring to the console.
