No Batman: Arkham Origins Multiplayer for You, Wii U

Posted on July 31, 2013 AT 02:52pm

Batman: Arkham Origins‘ multiplayer won’t be a part of the Wii U version, Warner Bros. informed Eurogamer.

“MP will be available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC,” a Warner Bros. spokesperson told Eurogamer. “The team is focusing development efforts on platforms with the largest MP audience.”

The game’s multiplayer mode, Invisible Predator Online, was revealed earlier today. The mode pits three factions—Bane and two goons, Joker and two goons, and Batman and Robin—against one another throughout the streets of Arkham. U.K.-based Splash Damage, the team behind Doom 3‘s multiplayer component and the studio that developed Brink, is handling development of Arkham Origins‘ Invisible Predator Online.

Batman: Arkham Origins launches on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U October 25 alongside a 2.5D Metroidvania-style companion game—Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate—for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
