Bungie has no current plans to bring Destiny 2 to Nintendo Switch, according to project lead Mark Noseworthy.

Speaking to IGN at the recent gameplay reveal event, he said said that the developer currently has “no announcements to make about the Switch at this time.”

“I think it’s pretty unrealistic, given we’re an online-only game, right? The Switch, because it’s a portable – and I love my Switch, I’ve got Breath of the Wild here, I’ve got it with me,” Noseworthy added when asked about a future release on the console. “It’s incredible, I love the console, but in terms of where it’s at, I don’t want leave anyone with the possibility of, like, ‘it’s a thing we’ll consider, maybe next year.’ There’s no plans right now for Switch.”

Yesterday, Bungie shared the first gameplay footage of Destiny 2 and revealed details about PvP, weapons, the campaign, story, matchmaking, and more.

Destiny 2 launches September 8th, 2017 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A PC version is also in development, but Bungie isn’t committing to a release date.
