No plans to bring Halo: The Master Chief Collection to Xbox 360 or PC

343 Industries has confirmed that there are no plans to bring Halo: The Master Chief Collection to PC or Xbox 360.

The collection was officially announced during Microsoft’s E3 press conference for Xbox One, and will contain enhanced versions of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4. Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 will be anniversary editions with completely revamped HD graphics.

“We do not have any plans to bring the game to Xbox 360 as the game size, enhanced features and technical specifications simply can’t support it,” the developer wrote on Halo Waypoint. ”We are dedicated to bringing a full and fun experience to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One, providing you with dedicated servers, a unified interface, increased visual fidelity, and gameplay running at 60 fps.”

343 Industries Bonnie Ross also confirmed to Eurogamer that PC gamers will also be left out in the cold. ”Right now we are focused on Xbox One,” she said. “We’ve been on PC before, and Dan [Ayoub, 343 executive producer] has had games like Halo: Spartan Assault on there.

“We’re listening to the PC fans, but right now this is all focused on Xbox One.”

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is set to launch exclusively for Xbox One on November 11.
