Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Monolith’s sequel to 2014’s Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, will not be making its way to Nintendo Switch any time soon.
Speaking to GameSpot, creative VP Michael de Plater said the studio has “no plans for the Switch at this time,” when asked about a potential release on Nintendo’s console.
Set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Middle-earth: Shadow of War continues the story of the first game and sees players wielding a new Ring of Power. The game will also see the return of the Nemesis system, which has been upgraded to include the entire world, with environments and characters all being shaped by player actions and decisions.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War launches August 22nd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
