Players will be unable to create restore points in the upcoming Virtual Console re-releases of Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow.

For those who are unaware, a restore point is basically like a save state and allows players to back up there game at any point while playing. All Virtual Console games on 3DS and Wii U support the feature, but it will be disabled in Pokémon on 3DS to prevent cheating.

As well as this, the Virtual Console menu and 3DS Home menu will both be disabled while playing. Wireless trading and battling will be handled by a new Cable Club Communication Menu.

Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow will be released worldwide on February 27th, 2016 for 3DS.
