No Wii U Plans for Resident Evil 6

THE BUZZ: Resident Evil 6 won’t be making it to Wii U when the game releases later this year, however producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi didn’t rule out the possibility completely.
“Unfortunately, RE6 will not be available at this time on the Wii U,” Kobayashi told IGN. ”Right now we’re concentrating on the PlayStation 3 version, 360 version and the PC version of the game.”
Capcom recently revealed a crazily expensive premium edition of Resident Evil 6 featuring Leon’s jacket.
EGM’s TAKE: The Wii U has secured a few major releases for later this year, but it appears that Capcom hasn’t the same faith that other developers have in the console. However, the idea wasn’t completely ruled out, meaning we could still see the latest survival horror title make its way to the console at some point. The major question is if the Wii U could even run the game, as developers have claimed that the console’s graphic capabilities are weaker than other current-gen systems.
