NYCC 2012: Hidden Footage Teases Brand-New Darkstalkers Game
Posted on October 12, 2012 AT 12:05pm
Capcom has already made good on promises to restore Darkstalkers to the fighting genre, but where’s the new game in the series? Apparently, it’s lurking behind the scenes, as shown in this special trailer.
Fighters Generation caught wind of this secret CG trailer shown during a Capcom panel at New York Comic Con, which features Lord Raptor rising from the grave and Dimitri.
Still, it’s missing a little something.
Oh, right—where’s Felicia and Morrigan, two of the franchise’s most famous bodies, er, characters?
Interestingly enough, there’s no tags at the end of the video to suggest a console for release date for the unknown title, although the ESRB disclaimer at the beginning hints that Capcom is developing some new title.
Check out the footage below to see for yourself—the crowd seems pretty pumped. But if Capcom’s business habits are any indication, the existence of this new game might depend on sales of next year’s Darkstalkers Resurrection.
